How is IUI Treatment Done?

Risks

Timing of IUI Treatment

The highest success, 55.6 percent, was for cervical factor infertility, while the lowest, 10.7 percent per cycle, was for endometriosis. In cases of unexplained fertility, only 4 percent of women conceived without fertility drugs.

Cost of IUI Treatment

In the UAE, a standard IUI fertility treatment costs around AED 3284. However, prices differ in various countries and clinics. Comparatively, IVF is more expensive, with an initial cycle priced at about AED 70,000. Despite the cost difference, IUI is considered easier and more affordable than IVF.

Post Procedure and Expectations

After a successful IUI procedure, progesterone may be prescribed and blood tests conducted to monitor hormone levels. A pregnancy test is usually performed about 14 days after the procedure. If unsuccessful, repeating the IUI procedure for three to six months is advised for improved chances of pregnancy.
